Programmes for offenders
Information on the numerous programmes Corrections runs to change the behaviour of offenders and reduce re-offending.

Medium Intensity Rehabilitation Programme
The Medium Intensity Rehabilitation Programme is designed to help offenders in the community or prison examine the causes of their offending and develop specific skills to prevent them re-offending.

Short Motivational Programme
The Short Motivational Programme is a one-on-one programme for male or female offenders in prison or the community designed to enhance participants' motivation to understand their offending and assist them to make positive changes in their attitudes and behaviour.

Short Rehabilitation Programme for men
The Short Rehabilitation Programme for men is provided in locations where the Medium Intesity Rehabilitation Programme cannot be provided, or for offenders whose sentences are not long enough for them to attend the longer programme.

Short Rehabilitation Programme for women
The Short Rehabilitation Programme for women is provided in locations where the Medium Intesity Rehabilitation Programme cannot be provided, or for offenders whose sentences are not long enough for them to attend the longer programme.

Kowhiritanga women's programme
The Kowhiritanga programme is aimed at female offenders in prisons and in the community. Participants examine the causes of their offending and develop skills to stop them re-offending.

Basic Work and Living Skills training
Basic Work and Living Skills training is to help suitable offenders to develop skills that may help them to deal with issues that lead them to offend.

Support Planning Meetings
A Support Planning Meeting brings a child sex offender together with the people committed to supporting them to remain offence-free.
