Where is the Conference venue?

Stamford Plaza Auckand Hotel has a superb Auckland CBD location in the heart of the city and is within easy walking distance to the lively Viaduct precinct, Waitemata Harbour and Vector Arena.

Who can attend the Conference?

Members of the Women Offenders Information Network Australia and New Zealand can attend the conference free of charge.

Non-members must pay $90 to cover the food during the conference (this does not cover the conference dinner which you must book and pay for separately.)

A special accommodation deal for those attending the conference is available through the Stamford Hotel in Auckland.  

How do I get to my hotel from the airport?

If you are driving

Proceed along Ray Emery Drive, Ihumatao, bear left onto Tom Pearce Drive, Ihumatao. Turn left onto George Bolt Memorial Drive, Ihumatao and bear left onto the South Western Motorway, Mangere and proceed along the South Western Motorway, Onehunga. Bear left onto Hugh Watt Drive, Onehunga, and proceed along Hugh Watt Drive, Hillsborough.  Bear left on the Queenstown Road Interchange, Hillsborough, turn right onto Queenstown Road, Hillsborough. Bear left onto Pah Road, Hillsborough and proceed Pah Road, One Tree Hill. 

Turn right onto Manukau Road, One Tree Hill and proceed along Manukau Road, Epsom. Turn left onto Alpers Avenue, Mt Eden, turn right onto Gillies Avenue, Mt Eden, turn left onto the Gillies Avenue Interchange, Mt Eden. Bear left onto the Southern Motorway, Mt Eden and Proceed. 

Bear left onto Symonds Street Interchange, Grafton, bear left onto the Wellesley Street Interchange, Grafton and proceed into City Center, bear Left onto Wellesley Street East, City Center. Turn right onto Kitchener Street, City Center, turn left onto Victoria Street East, City Center. Bear left onto Victoria Street West, City Center, turn right onto Albert Street, City Centre and proceed toward waterfront, arrive Stamford Plaza (22 Albert Street, City).

Total Distance: 21km 161m.

Allow 45 minutes during peak times and 35 minutes outside peak times

If you are travelling by taxi

An estimate of travel costs is $50 by taxi or $75 by limousine approximately.

Where can I park my car?

Private parking is possible on site and costs NZD 30.00 per day.
Valet parking is available for a daily fee of NZ$30 for in-house guests.

How do I pay for my accommodation?

A special accommodation deal for those attending the conference is available through the Stamford Hotel in Auckland. There will also be a conference dinner at the hotel.

What is the dress code for the conference?

Working attire or smart casual during the day or evening wear for the dinner, if you wish. 

When does the conference begin?

The three-day CSAC 09 conference in Auckland will begin 9am Wednesday, 2 December 2009 and end 3pm Friday 4 December 2009.

What food is included in my registration?

Non-members must pay $90 to cover the food during the conference (this does not cover the conference dinner costs of $85 which you must book and pay for separately.)

Special dietary requirements - how do they know?

You need to advise us in the registration form if you have any special dietary requirements.

Is there transport provided?

Transport to and from Auckland Region Women’s Correctional Facility will be provided on the third day, Friday 4 December 2009.

After the prison visit, the bus will take you to the airport.
