This section summarises the work plan for the 2006/07 financial year and beyond. Although capital for this year has been earmarked in the 5 year IT capital plan, it has yet to be confirmed.
This work plan is based on making additions to the existing functionality to bring it into line with existing business processes, or to make change to bring it into line with changes proposed in business processes
The underlying approach is that because business needs change the full details for this year and beyond are unable to be confirmed. Key areas for development, however, have been identified.
The implementation of this work plan in terms of both content and timing will be governed by the business resource availability within Corrections for the definition of business requirements. These resources cannot be replaced by external resources, and are impacted by other demands within the Department (i.e. other business demands or legislative change). The approach to IOMS development is that critical business functions take priority over the system development, and if there is a resource constraint then system development may be impacted.
The list below is entirely unprioritised.

Any development work on interfaces will be completed in consideration of the overall system architecture strategy, as well as individual development initiatives that involve interface aspects. Existing CRs to be completed for the following interfaces:
