The three winners of the 2006 Prisoner Christmas Card Competition have been chosen from more than 65 entries by Corrections Chief Executive Barry Matthews.
The winning designs will grace Corrections’ official Christmas cards and will be available for staff to purchase via CorrNet.
The competition showcases prisoners’ art and recognises the valuable contribution that art programmes and their tutors make to supporting prisoner rehabilitation.
The winners will each receive a $100 prize and a further $200 is given to their prisons for buying art materials.
Production and distribution of the cards is managed by the Print Shop at Wellington Prison.
