A reparation report may contain any or all of the following:
- the nature of the emotional or physical harm to the victim
- the value of the loss or damage to property
- any consequential loss or damage
- whether the offender and victim have reached agreement on the amount of reparation to be made and the terms of any agreement
- the financial capacity of the offender
- the maximum amount that the offender is likely to be able to pay under a sentence to make reparation
- the frequency and magnitude of any payments that should be required under a sentence to make reparation, where provision for payment by installments is thought desirable, and
- details of actual or potential entitlement under the IPRC Act.
Note: In some cases, it may be appropriate for a report to be prepared covering both:
- emotional or physical harm, and
- loss(es) and damage(s) to property.
