This topic notes details specific to the victim information that is included in the reparation report.
When preparing details on emotional or physical harm, the following factors must be included in the report:
The nature of the harm must be clearly described and this must be supported by evidence.
With the victim and/or legal guardian's consent, make inquiries with family members, victim support groups and doctors.
Note: If the victim is not prepared to supply this information, this factor is not to be taken as prejudicial to their interests.
Include what the victim considers an appropriate payment to be, including:
This includes any consequential loss or damage, such as wages and entitlement under the IPRC Act.
Neither the victim's name nor address is to be included in the report.
The victim's name and address must, however, be provided separately to the Courts Fines Section if reparation is to be paid.
