Introduction
This chapter outlines the rehabilitative needs that can be identified during the short and full pre-sentence report (PSR) assessment processes.
Identifying and assessing an offender’s rehabilitative needs so that specific interventions can be targeted are principle factors in the pre-sentencing process.
Once rehabilitative needs have been identified, recommendations can be made for sentences that directly address these needs using resources available in the community and within CPPS.
