Opposing bail

Follow the steps below when opposing bail.

Clearly summarise CPPS grounds for opposition to bail.

Indicate to the judge if you have written submissions outlining the grounds for opposition to bail. Give this to the judge (via the court registrar) upon request.

If opposition to bail is successful, record the outcome and future remand date on the prosecution file cover sheet of the offender's breach file.

If opposition to bail is unsuccessful, record the conditions of bail - particularly the address.
