Introduction
This chapter outlines the procedures for pre-release planning and completeing the pre-release planning worksheet (SMP.6.F5).
Completing the pre-release planning worksheet (PRP worksheet) is the first stage in the pre-release process.
The PRP worksheet aims to assist with early identification of:
- information for the offender's release proposal in the parole assessment report
- offenders where residential restrictions (RR) should be canvassed
- gaps in information necessary to develop the release plan
- the extent of pre-parole liaison that will be required
- any other enquiries that may need to be conducted before completing the parole assessment report.
