Suitability of offender 

The suitability of the offender for RR should be determined from file information and the information provided by the sentence planner.

Where the probation officer requires further information to assess the suitability of the offender, they should contact the sentence planner to obtain this.

Note: The offender is not interviewed by the probation officer. This is part of the sentence planner’s responsibilities.
