The purpose of the specific parole assessment report is to provide specific information to the NZPB.
A specific parole assessment report may be completed:
The specific parole assessment report process commences as soon as PS are notified that a further hearing has been scheduled or 15 weeks prior to the next hearing (whichever is later).
Where a subsequent hearing is required, the NZPB will schedule this no sooner than 4 weeks from the previous parole hearing. CPPS and PS will negotiate the length of time required by each service, which will depend on the nature of the issue.
Specific parole assessment reports are required to be sent back to the NZPB no later than 8 working days prior to the hearing.
