This topic outlines information about the allocation of an offender sentenced to CD to a probation officer or senior community work supervisor.
When an offender is sentenced to CD, IOMS automatically generates a request to manage sentence in the CPPS application. The request goes into the allocate request functionality so that the case can be allocated to a probation officer or senior community work supervisor.
Note: The court will forward a copy of the CD order to the nearest CPPS service centre.
The offender must be allocated to a probation officer or senior community work supervisor as soon as practicable.
The offender will be required to report to CPPS within 24 hours of sentencing, and the first curfew may be only three working days after sentencing. Wherever possible, the offender should be pre-allocated. If this is not possible, the allocation should be completed within two working days of the IOMS allocation request.
The table below shows who the management of the CD should be allocated to.
