Introduction

This chapter contains information about, and procedures for, approving absences for an offender on community detention (CD).

Absences can only be approved from the curfew period on humanitarian grounds for offenders on CD alone.

If the offender is also subject to supervision or intensive supervision, absences may be approved to allow the offender to meet the requirements of those sentences.
