This topic outlines information about investigating CD EM notifications.
CD EM notifications should be read and investigated on when received for all offenders subject to CD.
Note: Staff are only expected to read and investigate the CD EM notifications on their normal working days (i.e. staff are not expected to read and investigate CD EM notifications on a Saturday if they do not usually work on Saturday, reports should instead be investigated on their next working day).
The following table outlines who is responsible for reading and investigating the CD EM notifications.

| CD, or CD and community work (CW), a fine and/or reparation | senior community work supervisor is responsible. |
| CD together with supervision or intensive supervision | supervising probation officer is responsible. |
In reading and investigating the CD EM notifications, staff need to be aware of the curfew period and any authorised absences (eg. on humanitarian grounds or if also on supervision/intensive supervision).
