This topic outlines the requirements for recording an offender's compliance with their curfews and electronic monitoring when they are subject to CD.

Staff must make IOMS casenotes

Staff must record any activity undertaken to monitor an offender's compliance with their CD curfews and EM in IOMS casenotes.

This includes making an IOMS casenote at the conclusion of each analysis of daily EM reports for each offender.

Who is responsible?

The following table outlines who is responsible for recording an offender's compliance with their CD curfews and EM.

If the offender is subject to... then the...
CD, or CD and CW, a fine and/or reparation senior community work supervisor is responsible.
CD together with supervision or intensive supervision supervising probation officer is responsible.


 Content of IOMS casenotes

The IOMS casenote should state:

  • whether or not any non-compliance has been identified
  • whether or not any follow up is required
  • whether any enforcement action is being taken, and
  • any concerns (e.g. emerging patterns of poor compliance or frequent reports of faults, or concerns about the ongoing suitability of the curfew address).
