Introduction

This topic outlines information about the types of CD EM notifications CPPS staff can receive.

Types of CD EM notifications

There are two types of CD EM notifications, they are:

  •  boundary notifications, and
  • equipment notifications.

The two types of CD EM notifications are explained in more detail below.

CD EM boundary notifications

These CD EM notifications notify CPPS staff that the offender has been outside their electronically monitored boundary.  A boundary notification will include:

  • offender details (including name, curfew address, EM identification number and supervising probation officer/senior community work supervisor), and
  • offender movements in and out of the electronic boundary during the curfew period.

Note: A boundary notification will always have a participant event history attached to it, detailing dates and times the offender entered and left the electronic boundary during the curfew period.

CD EM equipment notifications

These CD EM notifications notify CPPS staff of any issues or faults with the offender’s EM equipment.  An equipment notification will include:

  • offender details (including name, curfew address, EM identification number and supervising probation officer/senior community work supervisor)

  • equipment tampers (regardless of whether these have occurred during the curfew period)

  • equipment faults (regardless of whether these have occurred during the curfew period), and

  • steps to take to investigate the equipment fault or tamper.
