If an application for suspension or variation of the curfew period is made, then a probation officer may suspend the curfew period until the application is determined.
Legislative reference: Section 69I(6) Sentencing Act 2002.
It is CPPS policy to suspend curfew periods in this situation only if there are exceptional circumstances.
Authorised absences should be issued (as applicable) if the curfew period needs to be varied before the application is determined.

Area manager approval is required before a curfew period may be suspended.
