This topic outlines the employment check process if the offender is sentenced to two years imprisonment or less.
Note: This process is completed within 2 working days of notification.
The following table shows the steps for the CPPS liaison to take on receipt of the employment verification form from Work and Income.

On receipt of the employment verification form, make a decision as to whether the form needs to be sent to a specific CPPS service centre, or arrange for verification at the CPPS liaison office. Note: This decision is made immediately upon receiving the referral. |

As the CPPS liaison, you will be granted observation access to the relevant IOMS records in order to gather information whether the offender has any:
(Note: Make a note of what these conditions are, for the service centre undertaking the check.). |

Forward the employment verification form, along with any special conditions the offender may have, to the CPPS service centre closest to where the offender is being released. |
