Definition

Reintegrative needs assessment involves identifying and overcoming/ managing social or environmental problems facing offenders.

Any identified need is only considered to be reintegrative if the problems involved may be a barrier to complying with sentence or release conditions, or indirectly contribute to re-offending by an offender (should they not be resolved or managed effectively).
