Introduction

The initial draft of the offender plan is not detailed. It is an initial assessment of the offender information, and is prepared prior to meeting with the offender. It looks at:

  • risk
  • motivation
  • special conditions, and
  • identified rehabilitative and reintegrative needs.
Before you begin

Review the information contained in the offender???s file and:

  • update the RoC*RoI, and
  • complete any post sentence assessments.
Information for drafting the offender plan

Review the following information before drafting the offender plan:

  • pre-sentence/pre-release reports
  • offender information report (previous SPI)
  • special conditions of sentence/release
  • post-sentencing assessments (reintegrative needs), and
  • any other assessments completed (e.g. final sentence plan review completed by prison staff, or in relation to HD sentence prior to PDC, and any psychological report).
