2. Electronic Monitoring

Introduction

This chapter covers information and procedures for electronic monitoring (EM) for offenders who are subject to:

• home detention (HD)
• residential restrictions (RR), or
• EM on parole or extended supervision.

EM is a standard condition of HD, and may be imposed as a special condition for offenders subject to parole or extended supervision.

EM is part of the sentence management process.
