Introduction

This topic outlines the offender plan completion requirements.

When to complete the offender plan

The offender plan is completed in IOMS when the offender has finished their final sentence/order with the Department (except CD and CW).

The offender plan is not completed in IOMS if the offender is transitioning to another sentence or order with the Department.   Therefore, do not complete the offender plan in IOMS if the offender:

  • is transitioning to Prison Services (PS)
  • is transitioning to another CPPS sentence immediately (eg,  post-detention conditions from home detention).
Transitioning the offender plan

If the offender plan is not completed, it is transferred to the relevant probation officer managing the next sentence or to PS.

Reference: Full information about completing the offender plan requirements can be found in Volume 2, Part III, Chapter 7 Completing the Final Offender Plan Requirements.
