Introduction

Legislative references

Community work agencies (CWA) are governed by sections 63 to 66 of the Sentencing Act 2002.

Section 63 of Sentencing Act 2002 identifies authorised work for the community work (CW) sentence. Any work project or work placement must comply with the legislation.

Another consideration when assessing a work project or work to be undertaken through a CWA/community work centre (CWC) is the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.
