Multiple CWA/CWC placements
Multiple reporting definitions are:
- placement at more than one agency
- reporting more than once a week at a CWC
- placement at a community work agency (CWA) and a community work centre (CWC) service centre
- placement at more than one CWC, or
- any combination of the above.
Multiple reporting
Multiple reporting guidelines are:
- to be able to work at both a CWA and a CWC, an offender must have been assessed as suitable for placement at a CWA
- an offender placed at an agency must not be at risk of ‘contamination’ (undue influence from other offenders) if also placed at a centre, and
- multiple placements are to be planned and agreed as part of the offender's contracted hours of attendance.
If the offender is working through multiple CWA/CWC placements, the allocated probation officer should:
- coordinate all placements, and
- liaise with staff from other centres to ensure all daily attendance records are completed and entered in IOMS each day.
