Monitoring information reports in IOMS

Two reports are available from IOMS to assist with monitoring the hours completed on a sentence of community work (CW).

The senior community work supervisor/probation officer can:

  • review the data for each offender under their management by using these reports, and
  • determine from this information whether any action needs to be taken.
CW Hours Completed Within Timeframe report

The CW Hours Completed Within Timeframe report will:

  • show the number of community hours completed to date (excluding basic work & living skills (BWLS) hours not yet entered and any hours ‘not counted’), and
  • calculate the average number of hours per week that need to be completed for the offender to meet the requirement to complete their 100 hours within the 6 month period.
CW Hours Not Completed Within Timeframe report

The CW Hours Not Completed Within Timeframe report will identify those offenders who:

  • have reached the end of a 6 month period from sentence commencement, and
  • who have not completed the required 100 hours within the 6 month period.

Note: This report should not be the only information used to monitor offender’s progress as there are many reasons why an offender may appear on this report. However, the fact that an individual offender appears on the list should be used as an indication for a closer review of the offender’s progress.
