Introduction

When working with offenders, at all times ensure that:

  • all interactions with offenders are focused or have an influence reducing re-offending
  • all interactions are conducted in a way that is responsive to the culture, gender, age, mental/physical (dis)ability needs of the offenders and the wider community, and
  • all decisions about offenders are made with the safety of the community in mind.
