Introduction
This chapter contains detailed information about notifying specified individuals of child sex offenders (CSOs) in the community.
There are two types of notification the department does:
- routine information sharing between key agencies
- notification of specific individuals (usually affected neighbours).
This chapter focuses on notification of specified individuals (usually affected neighbours) and describes a planned and deliberate approach to notification. It is essential that all steps in the process are followed for all notifications; any deviation should be discussed with the regional manager.
