Introduction
This topic contains information about ongoing notification. Notification will need to be re-considered if:
- the offender’s circumstances change.
- new neighbours move into the area.
Time-based re-consideration
The area manager must periodically review the offenders on the community notification spreadsheet for re-notification. It is possible that an offender could be reassessed as eligible for notification.
Event-based reconsideration
If the offender’s circumstances change, the decision to notify will need to be reviewed. Probation Officers should discuss and changes with their Service Manager in order for notification to be further considered.
Example: If the offender moves out of the area where notification was originally considered.
