Child Youth and Family

Objective

This agreement has been developed to ensure the safety, well-being and independence of individuals and families. This is achieved through having a positive interface between the strategic planning, policy development and operating processes in the welfare and corrections sectors.

Protocols

The agreement includes protocols regarding:

• Victims of Offences Act 1987
• custody of children and young persons who are subject to the Provisions of S.142 or 142A of the Criminal Justice Act 1985 Child Abuse reporting
• management of the release of sexual, violent and other serious offenders seeking family/whanau integration following release.
• pre-sentence reports, and
• information sharing.
