- Sentenced prisoners are assisted by all prison staff towards their effective reintegration into society through the implementation of their sentence plan.
Performance Standards
- Each prisoner is assessed to identify their risk of reoffending and reintegrative needs.
- Each prisoner's sentence plan is developed, implemented and revised to assist them reduce the likelihood of their reoffending and manage their sentence.
- The sentence plan contains all information relating to the prisoner’s sentence.
- The sentence plan is managed in such a way that it ensures participation and commitment by the prisoner.
- The sentence plan is placed on the prisoner’s prison file when a prisoner is released or transferred.
- People involved in the implementation of a prisoner’s sentence plan are advised of any actions they are required to take by Sentence Planners.
- The development and implementation of a prisoner’s sentence plan is auditable.
