Waiver Form
The 'Waiver of Right to Appear before the NZPB Form' (A.13.01.F3- IOMS form) can only be used when:
- A prisoner does not make a submission to the NZPB regarding the type of hearing they wish to have, and the Board decides the hearing will be 'attended'.
- A prisoner does make a submission regarding the type of hearing they wish to have, and the Board decides the hearing will be 'attended' in order to hear from the prisoner in person. The prisoner decides they don't wish to attend the hearing, completes the Waiver Form, and it is returned to the NZPB.
To access the A.13.01.F3 IOMS form in IOMS, select requesting prisoner on IOMS screen then IOMS drop menu / Document tree / PPS / Parole / New Zealand Parole Board Hearing Waiver / new.
Standards
- A quality control check is done before each report is finalised, to ensure that all information is correct.
- Reports are provided to the prisoner at the same time they are sent to the Board.
- NZPB will inform Prison Managers and prisoners of hearing outcomes within seven days of the hearing taking place.
- Sites have access to the NZPB Report Tree on IOMS. An updated report list should be available to be accessed within seven days of the hearing taking place.
