Procedure Standard

  • Prisoners are issued with sufficient clothing that is appropriate to the climatic conditions, working conditions and maintains health and safety requirements.

Procedure

  1. Care of all clothing issued is the prisoner’s responsibility and he or she will be held accountable for its use.
  2. A supply of issue clothing is to be maintained at a level that exceeds the amount required to supply the Prison’s maximum prison population.
  3. The following items are considered to be a standard issue to all prisoners and under normal circumstances will have these items in their possession:
    • 1 x Tracksuit;
    • 1 x Shorts;
    • 1 x T-shirt;
    • 1 x Footwear.
