Doctor and Coroner to authorize removal

The body of a prisoner can only be removed after the doctor who pronounced the prisoner dead, and the Coroner have both authorised the removal of the body.

Police to approve and arrange the removal

Only members of the New Zealand Police can approve and arrange for the removal of the body following the authorisation to remove the body by the Doctor who pronounced the prisoner dead and the Coroner.
