Chief Executive
- Review prohibition orders within 21 days of receiving an application.
- Consult with any staff member in order to review an order.
Regional Manager
- When receiving notice of a visit from a Member of Parliament contact Communications Unit for pre-briefing matters that may need to be addressed
- Ensure that Members of Parliament are accompanied by a Prison Manager at all times when they are on prison property.
Prison Manager / Authorised Staff Member
- Approve Specified Visitor visits to the prison to provide spiritual or religious instruction or guidance to prisoners, address the cultural needs of prisoners, mediate in a dispute involving prisoners, assist a prisoner with preparation for a disciplinary hearing, or assist with the preparation or resolution of a complaint by a prisoner.
- Suspend, vary, add conditions, or revoke any approval where applicable
- Agree times for prisoner legal advisers and Enforcement Officers to enter the prison to interview prisoners.
- Authorise staff members to access information held in official records to verify information given by persons wishing to enter the prison to visit a prisoner/s.
- Issue prohibition orders
Corrections Officers
- Exclude visitors from entering the prison where necessary, in accordance with B.09.
- Complete and action B.09.03.F2 “Visitor Exclusion Notification”.
- Notify the Prison Manager if a visitor excluded from the Prison is a Specified Visitor.
