Performance Standards
- Workplace health and safety practices and requirements comply with appropriate Acts and Regulations.
- All existing, new and potential significant hazards are recorded in a H&S 09 Hazard Register.
- Hazards are prioritised by degree of risk, probability, and whether injury or illness could result, using the Accident Potential Matrix.
- Significant hazards are eliminated if practicable.
- Significant hazards are isolated where elimination is not practicable.
- Significant hazards are minimised where elimination or isolation is not practicable.
- Any person exposed to a hazard is made aware of its existence and provided with information on correct procedures on how to deal with the hazard.
- People are trained and involved in the identification of hazards and the development and maintenance of health and safety practices.
- Required safety equipment is provided and maintained.
- Every person using plant, objects, substances, protective clothing, and equipment is trained in its safe use.
