- Receiving Officers are to complete the Release Planning Checklist
- When prior notification is required (refer PPM C.04.01.R1), the PCO/Receiving Officer must ensure that the following staff are notified of the impending release within prescribed time frames (where practicable):
- Unit Managers
- CPS (Service Managers) where prisoners are released on licence
- Where an HRX alert is placed on a prisoner and/or a VNR notification is in place, notify the following staff:
- HRX coordinator
- VNR coordinator
The HRX/VNR coordinators will in turn notify police/victims as required (refer PPM D.12 and A.15 respectively)
- It is imperative that Receiving Officers inform HRX/VNR coordinators as early as practicable prior to release, taking particular notice of prisoners transferring in from other prisons for release locally.
- PCO RO is to allocate respective Receiving Officers to carry out this requirement and is to check that form C.04.01.F7 has been completed correctly.
