Who will deliver the service?

Manaaki Support Services, which is the specialist reintegration subsidiary of Goodwood Park Healthcare Group. Goodwood Park have been delivering reintegration services for people managed by Ara Poutama Aotearoa for around eight years. They have also been providing high quality residential and community services to people with traumatic brain injuries and mental health issues for over thirty years.

Why does Ara Poutama Aotearoa work with service providers to deliver residential services?

We engage experienced service providers to provide the specialised skills needed to deliver residential services like Rangiuru Road. They work with Community Corrections staff, such as probation officers, to provide reintegration support for people who we manage. They have existing relationships with key local and regional stakeholders, such as health and hauora providers, employment brokers or agencies that provide training in living or budgeting skills.

Some of the service providers that we work with include Goodwood Park, Salvation Army, Emerge Aotearoa and iwi-providers.

How many people use Ara Poutama Aotearoa’s transitional accommodation services?

Currently, around 1,100 people throughout New Zealand make use of our transitional accommodation services each year.
