2.1 Sentenced and Remanded Inmates
On the day of the census (Thursday, 20 November 2003) 6,240 inmates were counted as present in prison. They comprised 335 females and 5,905 males. Of these, 5,095 were sentenced inmates and 1,145 were on remand.
