Standard requirements for all escorts and transfers

  1. The purpose of this section is to manage prisoner escorts / transfers safely, humanely and securely while minimising risk to prisoners, staff and the general public and includes:
    1. Health escorts
    2. Inter prison transfers
    3. NZPB hearing
    4. Separation matrix
    5. Wheel-chair, ferry, aircraft, transport transfer policies.
  2. These procedures are designed to ensure that temporary removals, escorts and transfers are coordinated, documented, supervised and managed to ensure prisoner safety and compliance with custodial requirements.
